The 12-hour lawn-mower in Pulborough, West Sussex, saw 40 teams battled through the night to claim top honours in the most prestigious event of the lawn mower racing calendar in England. Competitors were divided in three different classes and each team had three drivers swapping periodically. For obvious safety reasons, all the blades were removed from the machines. Amazingly, most of the mowers were still in contention as the final hours crept by. After a painful night of hard driving, number 6 mower named 'Accident Prone Racing' took the chequered flag, with drivers Tim Ticehurst, Tony Kirkby and Alex Nickols having completed 366 laps.
